Being pregnant does wierd things to you…

So I’ve been thinking again…

 Since I’ve been prego;

  • I’ve found myself rubbing my belly and more recently my belly button which has become more of an outie than not- in PUBLIC!
  • Lots of people come up and rub my belly, which I really don’t mind.  I look at it as good luck, like rubbing the buddha belly but reversed- I get the good luck, not the rubber!
  • I’ve actually asked close friends, “Do you want to feel my uterus?”  I found it quite odd that I can actually feel it with my hands, it’s like a shelf right under the boobs-HA!
  • Shopping for our little girl is just as fun as shopping for myself!!!
  • I squeal with delight at baby clothes, especially Furr-tastic pink little coats and hats!!!
  • I am reluctant to admit that I have actually pushed our stroller around our living room, imagining our little girl in there and it is the best feeling ever!

On another note, Landry and I toured Sutter Memorial Hospital tonight where I will deliver.  In the 8 hours prior to us visiting there were 18, EIGHTEEN babies born.  CRAZY!  Not to mention there are 2 other hospitals within 1-5 miles of this hospital.  There was a traffic jam in the nursery.  I counted at least 6 freshly introduced to the world little tiny furry headed babies in there.  It really was a beautiful sight!  It amazes me that people who seem so hardened by life can suddenly become so soft, their eyes sparkle, and their smile just will not disappear.  I was watching the friends and family of the newborns and it really touched me.  New life is such a beautiful and amazing thing, it truly is a wonder!

    I was looking at Sydney’s pictures from when she was first born….Oh it was so special, you’re right, and just a little different then right now. You see she’s crawling onto the keyboard these days. She used to just sleep and sleep and sleep, except at night of course :) You’ll be loving it in no time! I wanna send you and e-mail, what’s your address?

    Oh, I hated having people (well, strangers) touch my belly. I did the stroller thing too, even strapped a teddy bear in there to practice taking the baby in and out!
